Microsoft is making big plans for the fiscal year 2025 that include allocating a massive budget for AI spending. 
The company will jet out $80 billion to create a better AI infrastructure
 including more data centers, out of which more than 50% will take place
 in the US. If you think the news is surprising, that’s not at all what 
tech experts feel as they as it a long time coming. We’ve already seen 
the company hint at major plans for expansion by spending $20B every 
quarter in the last year. 
This is just more reinforcement that 
they have zero plans to slow down in 2025 despite a new administration 
taking charge in the US this month. As per the company’s President, AI 
is similar to the electricity of today so the next couple of years are 
crucial for developing its foundation to ensure the country’s success 
which could last until the next century. 
Microsoft’s plans are going well, he continued which include more investments and working on bettering its strengths with better relationships with global partners. The more data centers, the greater the training offered for AI models, and the more cloud-based apps can expand globally.
More than 50% of the total investment will take place in America as the company is committed to the home country that brought it success from the start. This is why the company is calling on the American government to make advancements on previous investments and pave the way for greater resources that can be accessed easily.
Now Microsoft also shared how it’s well aware of the major concerns related to adopting AI such as job losses as they will alter the economy and displace people from tasks that the tech could handle better.
They argued more about how such gains could be so much better than losses taking place. All Americans would be equipped with the necessary skills required for using AI to get the highest-paid jobs and most successful careers.
