X's Premium+ subscription is seeing a major price increase. The monthly cost is going up by 37.5%, from $16 to $22, starting December 21 for U.S. users. Annual subscriptions will rise from $168 to $229.

 

X says the price hike is to maintain service quality. Current subscribers keep their rates until January 20.

 

International users will also see increases. In the EU, the monthly fee jumps from €16 to €21, and in Canada, from $20 to $29. Nigeria and Turkey face the steepest hikes, with Nigeria's fee rising from ₦7,300 to ₦34,000 and Turkey's from ₺300 to ₺770.

 

The basic subscription remains at $3 a month.
