Lamborghini is delaying its first electric vehicle (EV) until 2029. CEO Stephan Winkelmann explained that the luxury sports car market won't be ready for an all-electric model by 2025 or 2026.

 

 

Lamborghini is delaying its first electric vehicle (EV) until 2029. CEO Stephan Winkelmann explained that the luxury sports car market won't be ready for an all-electric model by 2025 or 2026. Currently, Lamborghini's lineup includes hybrid models like the Urus SE SUV, Revuelto, and Temerario sports cars.

 

Winkelmann also mentioned that the phaseout of internal combustion engines (ICE) in Europe might be delayed, and Lamborghini is considering synthetic fuels as an alternative to electrification. Porsche is also reconsidering its electrification plans, planning to launch new ICE models in the coming years.
