Xiaomi Automotive has wrapped up 2024 with a notable achievement, delivering 135,000 units of its flagship SU7 EV since its launch in late March. The company plans to more than double this output in 2025 with a new model and expanded production.
Spun off from electronics giant Xiaomi Inc., the EV manufacturer has rapidly evolved since its founding three years ago. The 2025 Xiaomi SU7 EV, developed with Xiaomi's manufacturing expertise, saw over 50,000 orders within 27 minutes of its late 2023 launch.
Initially targeting 60,000 EVs in 2024, Xiaomi quickly ramped up production to meet the high demand, reaching 100,000 units by mid-November and surpassing 135,000 by year's end. For 2025, Xiaomi aims to deliver 300,000 EVs, supported by its new SUV model, the YU7, and an expanded production facility in Beijing.
With the completion of phase two of its factory by mid-2025, Xiaomi is well on its way to achieving its ambitious goals, demonstrating no signs of slowing down.
